Easy to grow maple making a distinct mushroom shaped small tree. The light green deeply serrated trifoliate foliage turns to reds and yellows in autumn.

Acer japonicum "Aconitifolium".
The fern leaf form of Acer japonicum with deeply cut foliage giving a "fern like " appearance. Spring foliage emerges lime green and autumn colours are a fiery mixture of reds, oranges and yellows. A superb small tree. Delicate looking but hardy and easygoing. Potfuls have an exciting range of plants with not one looking the same. Recommended.

Nine lobed small leaves cut half way to the centre sharply toothed. One of the best maples for reliable autumn colour, which are a mixture of scarlet and orange. Slow to start but very easy going. Superb small tree that should be better known, another of our favourites.
